People’s Plan Campaign: connecting village priorities with Panchayat budgets

PIB reported commencement of the People’s Plan Campaign on 2 October, following an advance announcement on 1 October. Planning concerns 2027-28; more than 2.42 lakh Special Gram Sabhas were scheduled, rather than independently established as completed. [1][3]

PIB reported on 2 October a Kolkata workshop held on 29 September with participation from 32 States and Union Territories. Discussions linked budget classification with SDG targets, quality assurance and performance audit; tagging itself does not demonstrate improved outcomes. [1]
